“These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.”

This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.
κοιμάω
has fallen asleep;

To put to sleep, to fall asleep, to die. We do not grieve like those who have no hope for God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in Him.
