“And there were set there six waterpots of stone, after the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three firkins apiece.”

Jewish, belonging to Judah. Ioudaios. Salvation is from the Jews. God chose a people to bring the Messiah into the world. His choice of Israel was for the benefit of all nations.
