“And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.”

Show, reveal, demonstrate. Deiknýō. Jesus showed his hands and his side, and the disciples were glad. What is shown can be touched, believed, and transformed by. Show your faith by your works.

Hand. Cheir. Into Your hands I commit my spirit. The hands that made the universe were the hands that were nailed to the cross. He gave everything including His hands.

To rejoice, to be glad. Chairo. Rejoice in the Lord always. Chairo is more than feeling happy. It is the settled joy of one who knows God is in control and that the outcome is certain.

Lord, master, owner. Kurios. Jesus is Lord. The foundational confession of Christianity. Lord means owner. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender ownership of your life.
