“I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
ἄρτος
The most basic human need. You cannot go long without bread. Jesus takes the most fundamental hunger every human knows and says: I am the answer to that. I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger. Not never want things — never be left empty at the deepest level.

To live, to be alive. Zao. I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live. Life in Scripture is always relational. To live is to be connected to the source of life.

Life, living, existence. Zoe. I am the way the truth and the life. Zoe is divine life, not biological existence. It is the life of God shared with human beings through Christ.
