This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.

Moses, the Hebrew lawgiver. Mōseús. God spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to a friend, yet Moses pointed beyond himself to one greater. Look to the one he foretold.

To give, to grant, to bestow. Didomi. God so loved the world that He gave. Giving is the language of love. The greatest gift is always the giver themselves.

Circumcision, the covenant cut. Peritomē. Abraham received it as a sign of the righteousness he had by faith before the knife ever fell. The true circumcision is of the heart. Let the inner life match the outward sign.

To be, to exist. Eimi. When God names himself I AM, he uses this word. Existence itself belongs to him. Ground your identity in the one who simply is.

When Jesus teaches His disciples to pray, He begins with the most radical word imaginable — Father. In the ancient world, approaching God as Father was almost unthinkable. Jesus opens the door and says: this is how you come. Not as a subject before a king. As a child before a Father who already knows what you need.

Circumcise, cut around. Peritemnō. God commanded circumcision as a covenant sign, but the prophets called for circumcised hearts. The outward cut points to an inward surrender.
