To save, to heal, to deliver. Sozo. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. Sozo covers salvation healing deliverance and wholeness. Jesus restores everything that was lost.

Fire. Pur. Our God is a consuming fire. Fire purifies and fire destroys. What is genuine survives the fire. What is counterfeit is consumed by it. Let God refine you.

To show mercy, to compassionate. Eleéō. God's mercy is not passive feeling but active movement toward the suffering. Receive it. Extend it.

Fear, reverence, terror. Phobos. Perfect love casts out fear. Fear and love cannot fully coexist. As love grows fear shrinks. Let love displace what fear has occupied.

To hate, to detest, to dislike strongly. Hate what is evil and cling to what is good. Not everything deserves equal treatment. Some things must be rejected.

Flesh, body, human nature. Sarx. The Word became flesh. God took on human nature completely. He knows from the inside what it means to be human. He is not a distant deity.

Stain, defile, corrupt. Spiloō. The tongue can defile the whole body, and the garment touched by flesh must be hated. What contaminates spreads. Guard what you let touch you.

Tunic, inner garment. Chitṓn. If anyone takes your tunic, let him have your cloak as well. The innermost layer of clothing became a test of generosity. Give beyond what is demanded.
