“Now the children of Judah had fought against Jerusalem, and had taken it, and smitten it with the edge of the sword, and set the city on fire.”
חֶרֶב
A sword, a cutting weapon. Chereb. Reckless words wound like a sword. Wise words bring healing. The tongue is more powerful than any physical weapon.
