“And he that killeth a beast, he shall restore it: and he that killeth a man, he shall be put to death.”
שָׁלַם
To be complete, to make whole, to pay. Shalam. God's salvation is not partial. He makes everything whole and brings everything to completion.

he will be put to death

To die, to be put to death. Muth. The sting of death is sin. But death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus holds the keys of death.
