a sacred place, i.e. the entire precincts (whereas G3485 (ναός) denotes the central sanctuary itself) of the Temple (at Jerusalem or elsewhere)

To pray, to make supplication. Proseuchomai. Pray without ceasing. Prayer is not a scheduled activity. It is the ongoing conversation of a heart in relationship with God.

One, a single one, unity. Heis. The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Oneness is not uniformity but wholeness. Let nothing divide what God has declared united.

Separatist, religious sectarian. Pharisaios. The Pharisees prized external separation and legal precision above all else, yet Jesus reserved his sharpest rebukes for them. Religion without mercy becomes its own kind of lawlessness. Guard your heart against the pride of the set-apart.

Other, different, another kind. Héteros. Not merely a second of the same, but a different order altogether. When Paul warns against a héteros gospel, he means one of a wholly different nature. Discern the difference.

Tax collector, publican. Telṓnēs. Jesus called Matthew, a tax collector, to follow him, and sat at table with many more. The despised and excluded are often the first to respond to grace. Go where the Pharisees wouldn't.
