Luke 19:42
King James Version
8 Jun 2026
“Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.”
εἰρήνη
The Greek eirene carries the Hebrew shalom: wholeness, completeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. Jesus says in Me you have eirene, not in the absence of trouble, but in the middle of it. The peace He gives is not the peace of circumstances. It is the peace of His presence.
