Luke 2:29
King James Version
9 Jun 2026
“Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:”
εἰρήνη
The Greek eirene carries the Hebrew shalom: wholeness, completeness, nothing missing, nothing broken. Jesus says in Me you have eirene, not in the absence of trouble, but in the middle of it. The peace He gives is not the peace of circumstances. It is the peace of His presence.
