Nation, people group, Gentile. Ethnos. Go and make disciples of all nations. Every people group on earth is included in God's redemptive plan. None are excluded.

To rule, to lord over. Kyrieúō. Death once lorded over us, but Christ now lords over the living and the dead. Submit to the one who rules rightly.

Control, exercise authority over. Exousiazō. The body has claims on us, and others can hold power over us, but Paul warns against coming under the control of anything but Christ. Let nothing master you.

Benefactor, doer of good. Euergétēs. Jesus warned that rulers who lord over others call themselves benefactors, yet true greatness serves. Let your good works speak louder than your titles.

To call, to summon, to invite. Kaleo. Many are called but few are chosen. The call of God is universal but the response is personal. The invitation is open. Will you come.
