“And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go.”

Therefore, then, accordingly. Therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God. The therefore of Scripture always builds on something God has already done.

To train, to discipline, to educate. Paideuo. The Lord disciplines those He loves. Discipline is evidence of love not absence of it. God trains those He has chosen for greatness.

Death. Thanatos. O death where is your sting? Death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus did not just survive death. He destroyed its power for everyone who believes.
