“And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will.”
παραδίδωμι
To hand over, to betray, to deliver up. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. The delivering of Jesus was the saving of the world.
