Behold, look, see. Idou. Scripture uses this word to arrest attention before something significant. God is about to speak. Pay attention.

Two, a pair. Dýo. A witness requires two, a cord of two is not easily broken, and Jesus sent his disciples out two by two. Agreement between two carries weight.

To stand upon, be present, appear suddenly. Ephistēmi. Angels, shepherds, and the risen Christ all experienced this sudden arriving presence. God shows up unannounced. Stay ready.

Clothing, dress, garment. Esthḗs. Angels appeared in dazzling esthḗs; Lazarus lay in rags. What you wear reveals where you stand. Clothe yourself in righteousness above all else.
