“And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.”

To raise up, to awaken, to arouse. Egeiro. He is not here He has risen. The resurrection is the pivot of history. Everything before it points to it. Everything after flows from it.

Hand. Cheir. Into Your hands I commit my spirit. The hands that made the universe were the hands that were nailed to the cross. He gave everything including His hands.

Child, servant, boy. Pais. Behold My servant whom I have chosen. The Servant of the LORD came not to be served but to serve. His humility is our model.

To hold fast, to keep a grip on. Hold fast to what is good. In a world of shifting values grip tightly to what God says is true and right.
