“Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases.”
δύναμις
The root of our word dynamite. But dunamis is not explosive destruction — it is the inherent ability to accomplish what needs to be done. Jesus says you will receive this power. Not work for it, earn it or deserve it. Receive it. The Holy Spirit is not a reward. He is a gift.

Not just a follower — a learner who becomes like the teacher. The last command Jesus gives is not go and convert — it is go and make mathetes. People who learn from Me, walk like Me, think like Me, love like Me. The mission is not decisions. It is transformation.

Authority, right, power. Exousia. All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Jesus delegates His authority to His church. We operate under His commission.

To heal, to cure, to serve. Therapeuo. He went about healing every disease. Jesus healed as a sign of the kingdom. Healing is still available. He is still willing.

To give, to grant, to bestow. Didomi. God so loved the world that He gave. Giving is the language of love. The greatest gift is always the giver themselves.
