“And as he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alpheus sitting at the receipt of custom, and said unto him, Follow me. And he arose and followed him.”

To pass by, to pass away, to go past. Heaven and earth will pass away but My words will never pass away. Everything visible is temporary. God's word is the only permanent thing.
