“And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,”

Physician, doctor. Iatros. Those who are well have no need of a physician. Jesus came for the sick not the healthy. Come to Him with what is broken. That is why He came.

having suffered

To suffer, to experience. Pascho. He learned obedience through what He suffered. Suffering is not wasted in God's economy. It produces something that ease never can.
