“Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;”

First, foremost, chief. Protos. The first shall be last and the last first. God constantly reverses human rankings. What the world considers great God may consider least.
