Jesus. Iesous. The Greek form of Yeshua meaning the LORD saves. The name given before His birth. In His name is salvation healing and authority over every power of darkness.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

A crowd, a multitude, a mob. He saw a great crowd and had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. His response to crowds was always compassion.

properly, through (all over), i.e. around; figuratively with respect to; used in various applications, of place, cause or time (with the genitive case denoting the subject or occasion or superlative point; with the accusative case the locality, circuit, matter, circumstance or general period)

John, Jochanan, "God is gracious." Iōánnēs. The name belongs to prophets, apostles, and the one who baptized Jesus. God's grace runs through every bearer of this name. Live up to it.

Who, which, what. Tis. Scripture asks it constantly: who do you say that I am? The questions of God are not requests for information. They are invitations to search.

To go out, come forth, depart. Exerchomai. Jesus regularly withdrew from crowds to pray, and sent his disciples out into the world. Movement is often the shape of obedience. Go when you are sent.

Desert, wilderness, solitary place. Eremos. He withdrew to a wilderness place and prayed. The wilderness is not punishment. It is often the training ground for the greatest seasons.

to look closely at, i.e. (by implication) perceive (literally or figuratively); by extension to visit

Reed, pen, writing instrument. Kálamos. A reed could measure a temple or write a letter, a humble plant turned to holy purpose. Even simple things become sacred in God's hands.

Shake, waver, topple. Saleúō. The powers of heaven will be shaken, yet the kingdom that cannot be shaken remains. Not everything that moves is falling. Fix your hope on what stands firm.
