Completion, consummation, close of an age. Syntéleia. Jesus spoke of the syntéleia tou aionos, the consummation of the age, when all things reach their appointed end. History is not drifting. Live with the end in view.

This, this one, this person. This is My Son whom I love. With Him I am well pleased. The words spoken over Jesus are spoken over you through your union with Him.
