“And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone.”
ὄχλος
A crowd, a multitude, a mob. He saw a great crowd and had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. His response to crowds was always compassion.
προσεύχομαι
to pray.

To pray, to make supplication. Proseuchomai. Pray without ceasing. Prayer is not a scheduled activity. It is the ongoing conversation of a heart in relationship with God.
