“But when they sought to lay hands on him, they feared the multitude, because they took him for a prophet. ”
ὄχλος
A crowd, a multitude, a mob. He saw a great crowd and had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd. His response to crowds was always compassion.

To fear, to be afraid, to reverence. Phobeo. Do not fear those who kill the body. Fear God and nothing else needs to be feared. He holds what every other fear threatens.

Prophet, one who speaks forth. Prophetes. No prophecy was ever produced by the will of man. The prophets spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

To seek, to look for, to desire. Zeteo. Seek first the kingdom of God. Seeking is active not passive. The kingdom does not come to those who wait passively. Seek it.
