“Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.”

properly, meaning superimposition (of time, place, order, etc.), as a relation of distribution (with the genitive case), i.e. over, upon, etc.; of rest (with the dative case) at, on, etc.; of direction (with the accusative case) towards, upon, etc.

Least, smallest, very small. Elachistos. Whatever you did for the least of these you did for me. Jesus identifies with the overlooked. Serving the least is serving the Lord.
