“Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.”
παραδίδωμι
To hand over, to betray, to deliver up. He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. The delivering of Jesus was the saving of the world.
