Quarry, cut from rock. Latoméō. The tomb where Jesus lay was hewn from solid stone, cut by human hands yet held the Lord of life. Even ordinary labor can become the stage for resurrection.

Rock, bedrock, cliff. Petra. On this rock I will build My church. The church is built on bedrock. The storms will come. What is built on the rock will stand. What is built on sand will not.

Roll against, block with. Proskylíō. Joseph's tomb was sealed when a great stone was rolled against the entrance. What man meant as finality, God used as the stage for resurrection.

Stone, rock. Lithos. Christ is the stone the builders rejected, now made the cornerstone. What the world discards, God builds upon.

Great, large, important. Megas. A great door and effectual is opened. God opens great doors. Do not settle for small thinking about a great God. He works on a grand scale.

Door, gate, entrance. Thura. I am the door. Whoever enters through Me will be saved. Jesus is not a door among many options. He is the door. The only way in.
