Seated, dwelling, residing. Káthēmai. Jesus sat down to teach, and to reign. To be seated is to be established, settled, at rest in a place of authority. Sit in the presence of the One who is enthroned.

Darkness, obscurity, ignorance. Skotos. The people living in darkness have seen a great light. Darkness is the condition before Christ. Light is the reality after. Choose the light.

Light, illumination, radiance. Phos. God is light. Jesus is the light of the world. Light does not coexist with darkness. Where He comes darkness flees. Be light where you are.

To know, to see, to perceive. Paul said I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.

Great, large, important. Megas. A great door and effectual is opened. God opens great doors. Do not settle for small thinking about a great God. He works on a grand scale.

Region, land, territory. Chṓra. The earth and its spaces belong to God, from the sprawling country to the inhabited land. Every territory has a people, and every people needs the gospel.

Shadow, shade, foreshadowing. Skia. The law contained a shadow of good things to come, not the reality itself. Shadows prove light exists. Move toward the substance.

Death. Thanatos. O death where is your sting? Death has been swallowed up in victory. Jesus did not just survive death. He destroyed its power for everyone who believes.
