“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

Blessed, happy, to be envied. Makarios. Blessed are the poor in spirit. Makarios describes the state of those who are right with God. It is deeper than happiness. It is well-being of the soul.

Peacemaker, one who makes peace. Eirenopoios. Blessed are the peacemakers for they will be called sons of God. Peacemaking is a family trait. God is in the reconciliation business.
