“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Not a way among many ways. The way. In the ancient world, hodos meant a road that had been walked and proven. Jesus is not giving directions — He is saying: I am the road itself. Walk in Me and you will arrive.

Life, living, existence. Zoe. I am the way the truth and the life. Zoe is divine life, not biological existence. It is the life of God shared with human beings through Christ.

Gate, large door, entrance. Pule. Enter through the narrow gate. The gate is not secret or hidden. It is narrow. It requires humility to enter. Pride cannot fit through it.
