“Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest. ”

Therefore, then, accordingly. Therefore since we have been justified through faith we have peace with God. The therefore of Scripture always builds on something God has already done.

Lord, master, owner. Kurios. Jesus is Lord. The foundational confession of Christianity. Lord means owner. To confess Jesus as Lord is to surrender ownership of your life.

Harvest. Therismos. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. The world is ripe for harvest. The shortage is not opportunity. The shortage is people willing to go.

Worker, labourer. Ergates. The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. God is looking for workers not spectators. The need is great and the invitation is open.

To cast out, to drive out. He cast out the spirits with a word. In Jesus name we have authority over every unclean thing.
