“The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it.”
כָּפַר
Cover, atone. Kaphar. To cover over sin. The root of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement. At the cross Jesus made the ultimate kaphar, covering our sin completely and forever.
