“He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.”
צָפַן
Hide, store up. Tsaphan. To treasure in a secret place. God's word stored in your heart is the greatest protection against sin, a treasure laid up for the day of temptation.

Shield, buckler. Magen. The LORD God is a sun and shield. He both illuminates the path and protects the traveller walking on it.
