Psalms 109:28

“Let them curse, but bless thou: when they arise, let them be ashamed; but let thy servant rejoice.”
שָׂמַח
To rejoice, to be glad, to exult. Samach. This is the day the LORD has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Rejoicing in the day is an act of trust in the One who made it.
קוּם
they have arisen

To arise, to stand up, to establish. Quwm. Arise shine for your light has come. God calls His people to get up. Passivity is not the posture of those who carry His glory.
