“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”
מַיִם
Waters. Mayim. God gathered the waters and called them seas. Jesus said rivers of living water will flow from within those who believe in Him.

Deer, hart. Ayyal. As the deer pants for water so my soul pants for God. Spiritual thirst is as real and urgent as physical thirst.

To pant, to long for. Arag. To pant is to be desperate. God honours the soul that is desperate for Him above all other things.
