“Let them be confounded and consumed that are adversaries to my soul; let them be covered with reproach and dishonour that seek my hurt.”
נֶפֶשׁ
Life, soul, living being. Nephesh. The animating breath God places in every living creature. In animals it is the life force. In humanity it is the seat of emotion, will and identity. Every nephesh belongs to God — from the creatures in the sea to the deepest cry of the human heart.
בָּקַשׁ
those who seek

Seek, search. Baqash. To search diligently. Seek the LORD while He may be found. This is not passive looking but intense searching with your whole heart.
