“And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.”
δόξα
Glory, honour, splendour. Doxa. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory. Glory is the weight and radiance of God's presence. It transforms everything it touches.

Honour, value, price, esteem. Time. You were bought with a price therefore glorify God in your body. Your body is not your own. It was purchased. Use it to honour the one who bought it.

Strength, might, dominion. Kratos. To Him be glory and dominion forever. God holds all power. Every other power is borrowed and temporary. His alone is eternal and absolute.

Throne, seat of authority. Thronos. The throne of grace. We can approach it boldly. The throne that could terrify has become a throne of grace through the blood of Jesus.

Blessing, benefit, bounty. Eulogia. The cup of blessing which we bless. Every communion cup is a declaration that the cross is the source of every blessing we enjoy.
