“And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:”

To live, to be alive. Zao. I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live. Life in Scripture is always relational. To live is to be connected to the source of life.

To put, to place, to appoint. Tithemi. Father into Your hands I commit My spirit. The final act of Jesus was an act of trust. Put everything in His hands. That is where it is safest.

To fall, to drop, to fail. Pipto. A sparrow does not fall to the ground outside your Father's care. Nothing happens to you by accident. Every fall is within the knowledge of God.

To fear, to be afraid, to reverence. Phobeo. Do not fear those who kill the body. Fear God and nothing else needs to be feared. He holds what every other fear threatens.

Dead, lifeless, without power. Nekros. God who gives life to the dead. If God can raise the dead there is nothing in your situation that is beyond His power to restore.

Hand. Cheir. Into Your hands I commit my spirit. The hands that made the universe were the hands that were nailed to the cross. He gave everything including His hands.
