Assembly, church, called out ones. Ekklesia. I will build my church. The church is not a building or a programme. It is a people called out by God and gathered around Jesus.

To write, to record. These things are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ and have life in His name.

To say, to speak with authority. Jesus said and it was so. When Jesus speaks everything listens. His words carry the weight of creation behind them.

Last, final. I am the first and the last. Jesus holds both ends of time. Nothing catches Him by surprise and nothing is beyond His reach.

To become, to come into being, to happen. Ginomai. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. What is true in heaven is meant to become true on earth through prayer.

Dead, lifeless, without power. Nekros. God who gives life to the dead. If God can raise the dead there is nothing in your situation that is beyond His power to restore.

To live, to be alive. Zao. I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live. Life in Scripture is always relational. To live is to be connected to the source of life.
