“And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:”

Rock, bedrock, cliff. Petra. On this rock I will build My church. The church is built on bedrock. The storms will come. What is built on the rock will stand. What is built on sand will not.

Wrath, anger, indignation. Orge. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven. God's wrath is not irrational rage. It is the settled holy opposition of perfect love to everything that destroys.
