“Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;”
ὑπομονή
Patient endurance, steadfast waiting. Hupomone. You have need of endurance so that having done the will of God you may receive what is promised. Endurance is the last virtue between you and the promise.

Tribulation, affliction, pressure. Thlipsis. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart I have overcome the world. Trouble is guaranteed. Victory is also guaranteed.

Hope, expectation, confidence. Elpis. Hope does not disappoint. Biblical hope is not wishful thinking. It is confident expectation based on the character of God.
