“Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;”

Faith, trust, belief, faithfulness. Pistis. Without faith it is impossible to please God. Faith is the currency of the kingdom. Everything flows to those who trust God completely.

Propitiation, mercy seat, atonement. Hilasmos. He is the propitiation for our sins. Propitiation means the wrath of God has been satisfied. There is no condemnation left.

Righteousness, justice, rightness. Dikaiosune. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Righteousness is not earned. It is received as a gift through faith.
