“Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. ”

The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.

Not the love of emotion or feeling — this is the love of will and choice. God did not love the world because it was loveable. He loved it because that is who He is. Agapao is love that gives everything without expecting anything back.
