“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

To raise up, to awaken, to arouse. Egeiro. He is not here He has risen. The resurrection is the pivot of history. Everything before it points to it. Everything after flows from it.

Trumpet, a wind instrument. Salpigx. At the last trumpet the dead will be raised imperishable. The trumpet announces the King. At the final trumpet everything changes forever.
