Confessedly, without dispute. Homologoumenōs. Paul uses it to anchor the mystery of godliness: "great, beyond all question." Some truths are not argued into acceptance but confessed in worship. Receive them on your knees.

God. Theos. In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The ultimate reality. The source of all existence. Personal knowable and present.

Great, large, important. Megas. A great door and effectual is opened. God opens great doors. Do not settle for small thinking about a great God. He works on a grand scale.

Spirit, breath, wind. Pneuma. God is Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, God living inside every believer. He leads guides comforts and empowers.

Piety, godliness, reverent devotion. Eusébeia. Train yourself for godliness, for it holds promise for both the present life and the life to come. True piety is not performance but orientation toward God. Let your whole life face him.

Who, which, that, the one who. He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. God finishes what He starts.

Reveal, make visible, manifest. Phaneroo. What was hidden in God before time has been made visible in Christ. The secret is out. Live in the light of what has been revealed.

Flesh, body, human nature. Sarx. The Word became flesh. God took on human nature completely. He knows from the inside what it means to be human. He is not a distant deity.

To justify, to declare righteous. Dikaioo. Being justified by faith we have peace with God. Justification is God's verdict. He declares guilty people righteous in Christ.

To see, to appear, to be visible. He appeared to Peter then to the twelve. The resurrection appearances were real physical encounters not visions or hallucinations.

To proclaim, to preach, to herald. Kerusso. Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel. The Gospel is news to be announced not advice to be offered. Announce it boldly.

Nation, people group, Gentile. Ethnos. Go and make disciples of all nations. Every people group on earth is included in God's redemptive plan. None are excluded.

To believe, to trust, to have faith. Pisteuo. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved. Believing is more than intellectual agreement. It is a transfer of trust to Jesus.

The world, the ordered universe. God so loved the kosmos. He loves what He made and He is working to redeem every part of it.

Glory, honour, splendour. Doxa. The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory. Glory is the weight and radiance of God's presence. It transforms everything it touches.
