“And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.”

To sit, to sit down, to be seated. Kathemai. He sat down at the right hand of the Father. The sitting down of Jesus declared the work finished. Nothing remains to be added.
