“Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.”

From soter — saviour, the one who rescues from danger. Soteria is comprehensive — healing, wholeness, rescue, preservation. Peter stands before the council and says there is no other name. Not as arrogance. As the deepest mercy — there is one who can save, and His name is Jesus.

In Greek thought, the logos was the rational principle holding the universe together. John opens his Gospel with this word — not as a concept, but as a person. In the beginning was the Word. Before anything existed, the Word already was.
