“Moreover ye see and hear, that not alone at Ephesus, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul hath persuaded and turned away much people, saying that they be no gods, which are made with hands:”

To persuade, to trust, to be confident. Peitho. I am confident that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion. God finishes what He starts in those who yield.
