“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”

Burden, weight, load. Baros. Bear one another's burdens and so fulfil the law of Christ. The law of Christ is love expressed in carrying what others cannot carry alone.

The one set apart and equipped for a specific task. Oil was poured on kings, priests and prophets in the Old Testament — the anointing meant: this one is chosen, this one is sent. Jesus stands up in Nazareth and reads Isaiah — and then says: this is Me. I am the one sent.
