Isaiah 28:4
King James Version
6 Jun 2026
“And the glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be a fading flower, and as the hasty fruit before the summer; which when he that looketh upon it seeth, while it is yet in his hand he eateth it up.”

The deer does not philosophise about water. It simply knows it needs it and runs toward it. The psalmist in the middle of exile, surrounded by enemies, uses this image — my whole being runs toward You the way a deer runs to water. Thirst for God is not weakness. It is the most honest thing a soul can do.
